Cost drivers

What changes the price

Two cars can get two very different quotes. These six things decide where yours lands.

  • Vehicle size

More surface means more film and more hours on the install. A compact car needs far less than a high-roof van or a long box truck.

  • Coverage

Full wrap, partial, spot graphics or lettering. A partial covers about half the vehicle and blends into the paint, so it uses less film and less labor.

  • Film

Premium cast films from 3M and Avery Dennison cost more and last longer. Chrome and color-shift films cost the most.

  • Design

Printed wraps need artwork built for your exact vehicle. We quote design separately: partial wrap design from $650, full wrap design from $1,000.

  • Prep and removal

Old graphics, peeling clear coat and rust all add prep time. Wrap removal starts from $500.

  • Complexity

Deep recesses, rivets, compound curves, roof racks and door jambs take longer to wrap cleanly. Flat, simple panels go faster.

Cost over time

What a wrap costs per year

A wrap runs for years, so divide the price by the years you'll drive it. Printed wraps typically last 5 to 7 years with proper care. Vertical surfaces can reach up to 8 years. Hoods and roofs take the most sun and usually last about 3.

Two kinds of wrap

Color change vs printed wraps

Want a new look for a personal or company car? Go color change. Want calls and website visits from the vehicle? Go printed. You can also mix them: a color change body with cut-vinyl lettering.

  • Full commercial van wrap on a white Ram ProMaster for Krisco Pools & Spas with blue water graphics, phone number and QR code

    Printed wrap

Your artwork, printed on wrap film and laminated: logos, photos, phone number, website. Best when the vehicle needs to sell for you. Design is quoted separately.

  • Mercedes-AMG G63 in a white color change wrap with black wheels and red brake calipers on wet pavement under gray skies

    Color change wrap

Solid-color film with the finish built in: gloss, satin, matte, metallic, brushed, carbon fiber or color shift, from 3M, Avery Dennison and KPMF. We quote color change per vehicle, film and add-ons such as door jambs or chrome delete.

Budget

Ways to spend less

  • Start with door lettering from $350 and add graphics later.
  • Use spot graphics from $615 to put your logo on the doors, rear or tailgate.
  • Choose a partial wrap from $2,500. It covers about half the vehicle and blends into the paint.
  • Fix peeling clear coat and rust first. Bad paint adds prep time and can lift with the film.
